Esmeralda Gonzales

Esmeralda M. Gonzales, 63 of Santa Fe, Passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011 in Santa Fe. She was born July 25, 1948 in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnny Gonzales, and her parents, Brigido Medina and Esther Reynaga. Esmeralda is survived by her daughter, Rene Alarid; two sons, Robert Gonzales and Michael Gonzales; her four sisters, Maria de Jesus Vazquez, Teresa Mendez, Eustolia Medina, and Elia Medina; and two brothers, Rafael Medina and Brigido Medina. "But the just man, though he die early, shall be at rest. For the age that is honorable comes not with the passing of time, nor can it be measured in terms of years. Rather, understanding is the silver crown for men, and an unsullied life, the attainment of old age. He who pleased God was loved" Our Mom has been freed and rejoined with the love of her life, her husband Johnny. We Love You Both.

A Rosary and funeral mass were held on October 13, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Johnny and Esmeralda were joined and buried together at Rosario Cemetery following the mass. A reception followed at St. John's Hall following the cemetery committal services.
