Eugenio Chavez, 75, of Cordillera passed away on January 6, 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents: Benjamin and Eutemia Chavez, brother, Gilbert Chavez, infant brother, sisters, Magdalena and Juanita Chavez and sister-in-law, Dorothy Chavez. He is survived by his wife Ida E. Chavez, son, Eugene Chavez Jr., brothers, Bernie Chavez, Ernest Chavez (Ernestine), sister-in-law, Andrellita Chavez, nieces and nephews, Maria Medina (Zenovio), Connie Trujillo (Leo), Ben Chavez, Valentina Marquez, Berlinda Sandoval (Gary), Lester Chavez , Darlene Miera (Toby), Irene Chavez, Leonard Chavez, David Chavez, Cassandra Chavez, Joyce (Pedro) Guerrero and many other relatives..

Rosary was recited on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. Funeral mass was held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Interment was held at Los Cordovas Cemetery
