Hi, and condolences to the Miera family. I remember this man as a teacher but what he imparted more of was about life, things that you can’t read about in a book. He shared thoughts about his time in WWII, he demonstrated his respect for you as a human, and I think, a strong philosophy of goodness. He reflected contentment with his smile and positive outlook about his life. I have not seen him in years but am glad to have known him. Many of us can cherish the memory of a few good mentors like Mr. Felix Miera. Thank you.

Condolences to the Miera family on the loss of your father. Knew him from my1 year @ Taos Junior Hi as a 9th grader, though I never had him as a teacher. Knew his family, especially Felix Jr, as we were both in the same grade thru our high school days @ Taos High School, and graduating in 1966. Reunited with Felix Jr again when we both transferred to New Mexico Highlands Univ in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Felix going into Science classes and me into Chemistry and Math classes. Have NOT heard from or about Felix since one of our THS reunions..

9/14/2020 To Ernie, Rosie and all the Miera family. Our condolences to you all on the loss of your Beloved Dad, Felix R. Miera, who is now a Beautiful Angel topped with a Halo and together again with his loving wife, and your Beautiful Mom, Delia, an Angel as well. Both who are now with Our Lord. May each of you continue to keep both you Mom and Dad in your hearts and remember them through the wonderful memories that you all were able to share together. Whenever they come to your mind - talk to them - they will forever be there to listen to you and, of course, there beautiful Grandchildren. I feel privileged that I had the pleasure to meet both your beautiful parents. Mr. Miera was a very kind, knowledgeable, interesting person with an exceptional background. No question that your parents were extremely proud of each of you and your children - all the "Familia"! They will always be in your Hearts.
Please know that we will forever keep your Parents and the entire Miera "Familia" in our prayers especially los Abuelitos. May they rest in Peace! Amen
Please remember - we are here for you all and will include everyone in our Prayers.
Our Love and Abrazos to all. May God Bless each of you.
Sincerely,
Pat & Gloria

Mr. Felix Miera was an honorable man, a superb teacher and a man of true faith. He was my eighth grade New Mexico History teacher from whom I learned to love history and maps. I remember his gentle and motivating teaching style which encouraged me to become an educator. May he be at rest in the bosom of Our Lord in heaven with his family as he looks down with love on his family here on earth. My deepest sympathies to Lillian , Gina and all the family.

I am so, so saddened to learn of Mr. Miera's passing. He was my favorite teacher in all my years of schooling. I enjoyed his classes and learned so much from him. I became a high school teacher, always remembering his methods of teaching and his expectations of his students. I am forever grateful to him. May the angels welcome him to paradise and may he rest in the arms of our Creator. Rest in Peace Mr. Miera

Lillian, Gina, Phillip and extended family,
Mr. Miera was a special person, with a great sense of humor and a person who loved to dance. We loved watching your parents dance. It saddens us to hear of his passing. Condolences to your families and know he is up in heaven with your mother. I know he is asking her, "Shall we dance!"
