FILEMON ROMERO

94, a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully in his home on March 12, 2013.

He was born on October 12, 1918 to Luis and Valeria Rivera Romero who have preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his wife Cecilia, whom he married on January 20, 1941, son, Pat, Sister Tillie, and sister in law, Emma.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He served his country during World War II in Europe.

Filemon is survived by his children: Mary Alice (Frank), Jerry and wife Viola, and Tommy (Zel); grandchildren: Lesley, Valerie, Peter, Paul, Stephanie, Patrick, Thomas Jr., Esteban, and Sabrina. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; sister, Melinda Pike; brothers, Amarante and Librado and wife Prudence; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited at San Isidro Parish Center located at 3552 Agua Fria on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at the traditional San Isidro Catholic Church located at 3688 Agua Fria with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m.
