Biography


Florence Estella Rice was born December 29, 1922 in Northampton, MA., and died January 26, 2009 in Espanola, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold M. Rice. She is survived by her brother Arthur C. Harris of Florida, and her children: Charles R. Rice of California, Esther R. Bolin of California, Dorothy M. Newby of California, Evelyn L. Jeffers of New Mexico, Mary E. Kaiser of California, Walter J. Rice of Arizona, and Karen L. Recore of Massachusetts, nineteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:30pm in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary, with interment to follow at The Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans in her name.
