Biography

FLORIE B. DOMINGUEZ, age 46 and a lifelong resident of Chamisal, NM. went to be with the lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Florie was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed helping others and spent a lot of her time visiting the elderly. Florie devoted her time to the lord and was a member of the San Antonio de Padua parish in Penasco. She was involved with the choir, prayar groups, served as a Eucharistic minister, was a religious education teacher, lector, and had been secretary of the parish. Florie would stop to help people on the side of the road or those needing a ride, even those she didnt know. A graduate of Penasco High School, she went on to attend Northern New Mexico Community College. She was employed at Sunwest Bank in Espanola and Albuquerque, and had also worked at Valley National Bank in Espanola, and The Plus Group in Los Alamos. She was preceded in death by her father, Jacobo Dominguez, her paternal grandmother Anita Dominguez, her maternal grandparents Ramon and Lioneres Sandoval, her uncles; Joe Alex Sandoval, Levi Martinez and Elmer Dominguez. She was survived by her mother Lydia Dominguez, her bothers Dean and Jacobo Dominguez, her sisters Marilyn, Sharon, and Lorraine Dominguez, her beloved nephew Jacobo Ramon Dominguez, her aunts and uncles Marie and Fred Medina, Helen Sandoval, and Ramona and Tommy Cantou and Juan Sandoval and many cousins and friends. A public visitation will be held on Thursday March 5th from 3 to 6:00 PM in the chapel at Block-Salazar Mortuary, and also from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco, with the recitation of the rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM also in Penasco at the Catholic church. Interment will follow at the Chamisal Cemetery.
