Frank Labadie

Frank LaBadie, Jr., Age 59, of La Villita, passed away on May 15, 2009. Born in Espanola, he was a lifelong resident of LaVillita, N.M.. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank LaBadie, Sr., bother Gilbert LaBadie and sister-in-law Patsy LaBadie, brother Charles LaBadie and special nephew Manny Trujillo.
Frank will be remembered by his loved ones for his ability to express beauty through his artwork and his easygoing personality. He had a great sense of humor. Frank was a kind and generous person who took pride in his appearance. His unwavering faith in God and family were evident by his capacity to love all those around him. He articulated himself well and could carry a friendly conversation with anyone who came along.
He is survived by his mother Eufelia LaBadie of LaVillita, his sons Anthony and Daniel LaBadie and his life-long friend Margie; his brother Ruben LaBadie and wife Mary of Lyden, sisters; Rita Romero and husband Octavio of Chimayo, Olivia Trujillo and husband Fidencio of Santa Cruz, Irene Sanchez and husband Michael of LaVillita and Charlene LaBadie of Santa Fe, five grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at Saint Anns Catholic Church in Alcalde. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. also at the same church, with Father Terrance Brennen officiating. Internment will follow at the La Villita Cemetery in La Villita, New Mexico.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Migelito Sanchez, Jr., Carlos LaBadie, Carl Trujillo, Eric and Matthew Martinez and Mario Vigil.
