Gabriel Quintana

Gabriel Orlando Quintana, also known as “Gobbers,” departed this life on October 26, 2023, to join our heavenly father at the age of 42. He was born in Las Vegas, NM on April 5, 1981. He attended Pecos Independent Schools before getting his GED from Santa Fe Community College in 1998. He earned his degree in Cosmetology from Northern New Mexico Community College and became a master barber. He enjoyed sports, especially football, and was an avid Raiders fan.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents: Nevarez and Susie Armijo & Roman and Eufemia Quintana; Great Grandmothers: Romana Dalton (Godmother) and Antonia Quintana; Aunts:Marylou Chavez and Edwina Quintana.

Gabriel is survived by his father: Leroy M. Quintana; Mother: Olivia Quintana (Nick);            Brother: Calvin; Sister: Kerina (Raymundo); Nephew: Raymundo Jr; Nieces: Ariella and Ivana; Girlfriend of 10 years: Monique; Godson: Isiah; along with many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 3:30pm to 5:00pm at St.Anthony’s Catholic Church in Pecos. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Another viewing will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 9:30am, eulogy at 10:30am, and mass of Christian burial beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Calvin, Mundo, Raymundo Sr, Jacob, Jonah, Conrad, Jerald, Jason, Andrew, Josh, Daniel, and Adrian.
