Together, they raised their four children; her primary job was to care for the home and family. She worked several jobs in retail (Hinkle) and as a cook (Holy Cross school and Lopez Senior center), yet her main focus was raising her kids, her grandkids, and eventually her great-grand children. She enjoyed cooking, telling funny stories, singing, and most of all just having fun.   Gertrude was a women of faith, a devout Catholic that loved her church of Santa Cruz de la Canada. She was an avid member of the choir, Seledora of the Sagrada Familia for 40 years, a member of the Carmelitas, and the Altar and Rosary Society for the church. Up until her death she watched the Mass daily, on EWTN  and prayed the Rosary with special intentions for her family.    She lived her 98 years of life to their fullest with her own special spunk, which we will all remember and greatly miss.
