Gilbert S. Montoya

Mr. Gilbert S. Montoya age 50 of Velarde, NM. died as a result of an automobile accident on Thursday January 15, 2009 in Embudo. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Amadeo and Orselia Montoya, brother Benjamin Montoya, maternal grandparents Auelino and Necanora Duran, paternal grandparents Elizar and Manulita Montoya.
He is survived by his wife Wanda S. Montoya and their two sons Samuel and Byron, step-children; Anthony Ortiz, Vanessa Montoya and fiancé Carlos; grandchildren Jasmine Ortiz-Duran, Dominic and James Ortiz; sister Mary Montoya and companion Leroy; brother Jimmy Montoya and wife Yolanda; nephew James Montoya and fiancé Amanda, nieces Yvette Montoya and fiancé Julian, and Angelia, brothers-in-law; Rudy Sisneros, Gilbert Sisneros, sisters-in-law; Mary Gurule and husband Gilbert, Francis Sisneros, and Precilla, many loving nieces and nephews Very close friends; James Lopez and wife Jerry, Leon Garcia and Patrick Serrano.
Recitation of the Rosary was be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm at Block-Salazar Mortuary, the mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday morning at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Velarde with Fr. Mark Schultz officiating. There will be no public viewing, and cremation has taken place.
