Gilbert Vargas

Gilbert L. Vargas, 81, lifetime resident of Taos passed away on February 04, 2011 in Santa Fe, NM. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and was known as a Master Woodworker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Enriques and Sofia Vargas, brothers, Robert and Enriques Vargas, sisters, Lucille Vargas and Adelina Garcia. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Julia Vargas, son, Estevan Vargas of Taos, grandchildren, Luis Juan Vargas and Lynda Solidea Vargas both of Albuquerque, brother, Elias Vargas (Alice) of Taos, sisters, Emma Merriman of Illinois and Josie Romero of Santa Clara, CA, many nephews, nieces and other relatives.

At his request there will be no services.
