A native son of Tesuque Village has passed away. Mr. Gustavo Facundo Jimenez, better known as Cundy, passed away on April 13, 2024. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Jimenez, grandson of Joaquin Jimenez and Mr. and Mrs. Nolberto Roybal, and nephew of many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Jimenez, sister Pia M. Padilla, one niece, and many cousins.
Cundy was known as the Chief of the famous El Nido Restaurant.
A talent chief that decided to change direction of his career, and served the state of New Mexico. He was an avid horseman, fisherman, and hunter that loved Northern New Mexico. He loved his Dallas Cowboys, and he was a letterman in his day. He was an outgoing and kind person that went out of his way for anyone. His kindness will be dearly missed.
Services will be held at The Tesuque Village, San Isidro Catholic Church on April 30, 2024, with a rosary held at 10:00 a.m. and mass to follow at 10:30 a.m.

Pia and Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences. I surprisingly saw Cundy at Walmart several months ago. Cundy always held a special place in my heart. I spent a lot of time in Tesuque as a child with my dad, Barney Roybal since we were related. Cundy was a wonderful person and we loved him very much. May the Lord give you all strength and grace during this difficult time. May Cundy rest in the arms of his Saviour Jesus Christ.
