Henry J. Vigil

Henry The Mayor Vigil, was born on June 25, 1952 to Enriquez Vigil and Felomena Gallegos. Henry passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2014. Henry was born and lived all his life in Cerro, N.M.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jose R, Edumenio and Vidal Perea; Gasper and Ruben Vigil; his sisters Virginia Salazar, Bertha Sisneros, Elvira Cardenas, Nora Gonzales, Della Gomez, and Laura Rael.

He is survived by his sister who raised him as her own son and whom he considered his mother, Lizzie Vigil of Cerro, his children, Julio (Jennifer) Vigil and Delilah (Brandon) Armijo both of Albuquerque, NM. His grandsons, Cruz, Diego, Raiden, Antonio and Elijah; his brother, Vincent(Mercedes) Vigil of Denver, CO; his sisters, Sandra (Dale) Quintana, Angela and Betty Vigil of Cerro, NM; Theresa (Steve) Segura of Questa, NM. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who most considered him their Nino, also, survived by the mother of his children Noreen DeHerrera.

A rosary was recited on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cerro. Funeral mass took place Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Reverend Fr Andrew, celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
