Herbert Romero

Herbert Romero, 56, a resident of Llano de la Llegua, Penasco, NM got his wings and went to walk with the angels on Sunday, June 6, 2021. He was born July 21, 1964 to Macario & Teodorita Romero. Herbert was preceded in death by his father, Macario Romero, sister, Gloria Romero and niece, Michelle Montoya. Herbert was a fun loving man who enjoyed talking and making friends wherever he went. He was a graduate of Penasco High School in 1982. There was never a place he couldn't go where he didn't make a friend. Herbert will be remembered for his sense of humor, being a hard worker, a jack of all trades, his love for the outdoors and wood carvings. He didn't mind getting his hands dirty and always willing to lend a helping hand wherever and whenever he could. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He always had a smile that would light up a room, was loving, caring, authentic and always put others before himself. His happiest moments were with his brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces but especially with "Mama and Daddy". He will be truly missed every moment, every minute and every second of every day. We were abundantly blessed to have him even if his time was cut short. Herbert is survived by his children, Marlene, Herbert Jr., and Christopher, his grandchildren, Jeremy, April and Laila, his mama, Teodorita G. Romero, Sisters, Carlotta Martinez (Ralph) Penasco, Josephine Romero, Albuquerque, Elaisa Romero, Albuquerque, Brothers, Bobby Romero (Carmen), Albuquerque, Gilbert Romero (Marcy) Santa Cruz, Lawrence Romero (Agnes), Vadito, Julian Romero (Antoinette) Albuquerque, Dion Romero, Penasco, 70 nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends. Herbert was truly loved by his "Mama" and family - he will be missed very much by his family, friends and all who knew him and will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Mi Hito, Hermanito, Tio, Dad, Grandpa and Amigo.    A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday June 18th, 2021 at 12:30pm at the San Antonio De Padua Church in Penasco. The church will be limited with occupancy, those who cannot be inside can listen to the mass on the church grounds thru the radio station 104.5FM. Burial will take place at a later date
