Isabelle G. Vigil passed away on November 5, 2020 at home. Isabelle had moved back to Espanola, where she was born and raised, last August from California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Santiago F. Vigil, her daughter Elizabeth M. Vigil, her sons James P. Vigil and Anthony E. Vigil, her grandson Patrick Ryan Vigil, her brothers Juan B. Gallegos and John L. Gallegos, and her sisters Josephine Rothman and Helen Valdez.
Isabelle retired from Hawthorne School District in 2012 at the age of 76 years old.
She served as President and 2nd Vice, as well as being a lifetime member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 314 in Hawthorne California. Isabelle was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed hosting and attending family gatherings. She is survived by her children Joseph P. Vigil, Angela (Dan) Frank and Santiago F. Vigil Jr., her grandsons Jonathan Vigil, James Vigil, Jason Vigil, Andrew Arzate, and Christopher Arzate, great grandson Raiden Vigil, her brother Joseph (Linda) Rothman, her sisters Mary White and Rosina Montoya.
Service is being held at Rivera Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Espanola on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2pm.
