James R. Keane-79 A resident of Los Alamos passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary. James was born to Edward P. and Myra Link Keane on February 15, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. He served as a Police Officer for the Chicago Police Department for 12 years. He then went on to serve as a police officer for the Los Alamos Police Department, where he retired after 21 years with the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the American Legion, Los Alamos Post 90 and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his sons: James M. Keane and wife Nadine of St. Simons Island, G.A., Terrence Richard Keane and wife Delfina of Raymondville, T.X. and Thomas Keane and wife Judy of Santa Fe; daughters: Patricia Ann Remelius, Sandra Rose Hosack and husband Keith and Jacqueline Kolakowski and husband Michael all of Los Alamos; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. A Celebration of Life for James R. and Rosemary Keane will be held immediately following the burial at the American Legion Post 90 in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the any of the following organizations: Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, St. Labres Indian School in Ashland, MT., National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Ill., St. Joseph Indian School, Chamberlain, S.D.
