James W. Parra

James W. Parra 85 years old, resident of Nambe, NM, passed away on March 16, 2019. He was born on October 9, 1933 in Deming, NM to Isabel Wood and James S. Parra. James married Betty S. Parra in 1957 in Bernalillo, NM.
He is preceded in death by son: Dr. James E. Parra (2008) and wife: Betty S. Parra (2010).
He is survived by son: Mark D. Parra (Chay); daughter: Darlene Parra; and 8 beloved grandchildren and 4 precious great-grandchildren.
Mr. Parra was a Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor. He worked for New Mexico State Highway Department and he was a graduate of N.M.S.U. Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering.
James was a contributing member to the Democratic Party and a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Mass will be on Wednesday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Iglesia del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 8 Summer Rd, Santa Fe, NM. (Church is located in Nambe next to highway 503 also known as Cundiyo Road).
