Biography

Joe Ben Abeyta, 74, formerly of Los Cordovas, passed away on December 18, 2006 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Emma Abeyta, wife Bernadine, son JB, and brother, Nelson. He is survived by his children Leonard (wife Cindy), Peggy (husband Steve), and Tommy. He is also survived by his brother Phillip, sisters Elsie Abeyta, Teresa Brown (Gene), Lorraine Martinez (Tony), and Pauline Martinez all of Taos.

Services are to be held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Friday December 22, 2006.

Dear Abeyta Family,
It was a great loss to hear about my uncle Ben. I loved him lots. I remember him and I would never like to share my dad. But, know I know he has him all to himself. (It's not fair) And if he was still here, we'd be at it. ha,ha! I am thankful for having him and your mom around when we were knew to the Springs area. They always welcomed me and my family. We always felt comfortable at their home. I guess, if my kids started calling your dad grandpa, They must've felt the warmth. Your dad will be missed very much, by all of us. Just think, he is happy now with your mom, just like ours is with his Archie.
