Joe Manuel Saiz

JOE MANUEL SAIZ SR. Born on January 24, 1944; age 66, passed away on July 16, 2010, peacefully at home with family beside him. He was preceded in death by a baby son; mother and father, Fernando and Sista Saiz; father and mother-in-law, George and Pablita Hurtado; brother, Tommy Saiz; brother-in-law, Ray Hurtado; and son, Marcos. He worked for the New Mexico State Government District 5; retired in 2002. Joe is survived by his wife, Susie; children: Manny, Frank (Rosalind); grandsons: Nathan Saiz, Shai Salazar; eight siblings: Rita, Vicki, Fernando (Judy), Mary (Ken), Jessie, Frank (Candy), Lucy (Pedro), and Paul; sisters-in-law including: Grace (Esquipula), Bernie, Irma (Rene), Margie (Dennis); also survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Serving as Pallbearers: Nathan Saiz, Frank Saiz, Paul Saiz, Ray Hurtado, Steven Gonzales, and Michael Moody. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers: Manny Saiz, Frank Saiz, Shai Salazar, Fernando Saiz, Michael Saiz, Manny Hernandez, Manny Tapia, Marcos Tapia, and Larry Sandoval.

A Rosary was recited on July 20, 2010. A Funeral Mass was held on July 21, 2010. Both services were held at St. Anne Catholic Church. Reception followed at St. Anne's Hall.

The Saiz family would like to thank everybody, and he will be greatly missed.
