John M. Casick

Mr. John M. Casick, age 94 of Embudo, NM. died peacefully on Thursday May 20, 2010 in Raton, NM. He was born in Aurora, Minnesota in 1916 to the late Martin and Helen Casick. On July 3, 1939 he married his beloved wife Ellen Guthner in Raton. He retired as a conductor for the ATNSF Railroad and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy during WWII as a Gunners Mate First Class. He was a life member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 461, The Veterans of Foreign Wars and The United Transportation Union. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife.
Recitation of the rosary is scheduled for Tuesday evening (May 25th) 7:00pm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dixon. The mass of Christian burial is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11:00am also St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Dixon. Interment will follow in The Fr. Cooper Cemetery in Dixon.
