Jonas Snyder

Jonas Mark Snyder, 60, died at his home in Santa Fe, NM on Saturday June 28th, 2008 due to Lymphoma Cancer.

He was born January 20th, 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland to Hilda L. Snyder (deceased) and Harry A. Snyder.

Before settling in Santa Fe, NM with this wife of 38 years, Lynn E. Breed Snyder, he also resided in Annapolis, MD and Las Vegas, NM.

Jonas was an alumnus of New Mexico Highlands University, where he earned his BA and MA in Social Work. He worked extensively to better the lives of the elderly and children, most recently at Children Youth & Family Services, Safer New Mexico Now, and Value Options. He dedicated his life to helping others.

He is survived by his Wife, Lynn E. Breed Snyder (Santa Fe), Son, Ishmael Breed-Snyder (Santa Fe), Daughter, Rachael Lillian Breed-Snyder (Los Angeles), Father, Harry A. Snyder (Baltimore), Brothers, Joel Snyder (San Diego), Ira Snyder (Annapolis) & Samuel Snyder (Baltimore) and their families, countless friends and his beloved pets.

Services were held Monday, June 30, 2008 at Santa Fe Funeral Options and Memorial Gardens. Friends and colleagues are welcome at the family's Eldorado home where they will be sitting Shivah through Sunday, June 6th, 2008.
