I wish I could have grown to know Jonathan better than I did. I have only scant childhood memories of him. He was an enigmatic figure who intrigued me when I was a kid, and who later awed with his artistic talent.
I have one of Jonathan's earliest pieces, a beautiful 2'x4' woodcarving which depicts a path winding through a forest of denuded trees. It is a stunningly stark piece, evocative of the famous lines... "The woods are lovely, dark and deep..."
I am saddened by the fact that the man whose soul urged him create such beautiful work is no longer with us.

I am one on Jonathan's many cousins. I will be visiting The Santa Fe area and would like to view his work. Please email me if you know of any galeries or museums that are still holding his art.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

I and my children Steven and Matthew are saddened by the early passing of Jonathan. He was a gifted and talented artist but was also a mentor and guide to my children who spent over 15 years living with him. We have felt the loss of Jon for many years and hope that he has found peace.
