Biography


Joseph P. Vigil (Joey) born July 17, 1959, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023 due to health issues.


Joey will be dearly missed by all, he was a very giving and caring person who had a love for Arts & Crafts. He was a great artist and always being creative in sharing his art by giving his family and friends various art pieces he created. He had a love for Kokopelli's and if you were lucky, you have a piece of art in your home from him. He loved to collect various movie, music, and sport memorabilia, also collecting numerous antique items. 


Joey is preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle Vigil, father, Santiago F. Vigil, his sister Elizabeth M. Vigil, brothers, James P. Vigil and Anthony Vigil and nephews, Jason Vigil and Ryan Vigil. Uncles, Juan B. Gallegos and John L. Gallegos and maternal aunts Josephine Rothman and Helen Valdez. Paternal uncles Oliver Vigil and Reynal Vigil. Paternal aunt, Alice Vigil.


Joey is survived by his sister Angela (Dan) Frank and brother Santiago F. Vigil Jr., nephews, Johnathan Vigil, James Vigil, Andrew Arzate, and Christopher Arzate, great nephew Raiden Vigil. Uncle, Joseph (Linda) Rothman and aunts, Mary White and Rosina Montoya.


Service is being held at the Gazebo at the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery in Espanola on Saturday April 22, 2023 with a Rosary at 10:15am and Interment at 11:00am.
