It is with great sadness that the family of Josephine Lillian Fernandez announces that she passed away unexpectedly at the age of 43, on Thursday February 27, 2020. Josephine was a life-long resident of Llano de San Juan N.M. Josephine was born to Joseph T. and Maxine L. Fernandez on Sunday, December 19, 1976. Josie and her husband Pablo Tafoya were inseparable and shared a life of love and laughter. She enjoyed spending time with her loving son Jacob. Josie visited her parents every day without fail and enjoyed having coffee with her mom every morning and telling stories to her dad. Josie brought so much life, laughter and most importantly LOVE to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Often times she would end a conversation by saying "I love you more!”, and she meant it. Josephine is preceded in death by Paternal grandparents Clarence and Priscilla Fernandez, Maternal grandparents Jose Benito and Eva Lopez. She is survived by her husband Pablo Tafoya, son Jacob Tafoya, parents Joseph T. and Maxine L. Fernandez, brother Adrian Fernandez (MeLinda), sister Melissa Fernandez, all from Llano de San Juan. She also leaves behind a large loving family of Uncles, Aunts, Nephews, Nieces and cousins who will miss her enormously. Josie, you always told us you loved us, but we loved you more!
Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 10 AM at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church with funeral mass to follow at 11 AM. Interment will be held at La Morada Cemetery in Llano de San Juan. Honorary pallbearers bearers as follows: Pablo Martinez, Christian Fernandez, Kyle Fernandez, and Leroy Gonzales. It saddens my heart to know Josephine is gone. I truly enjoyed the conversations we shared, she was so full of love and smiles. She will be greatly missed.
