So sorry to hear about Mr. Martinez. As a kid growing up, I used to love when he reffed or umped any of my games. My father and I used stop buy the 7-11 almost every morning before work and school, lots of good memories of Mr. Martinez. I saw him play his sax at a lobo game & it brought tears to my eyes. Truly one of the great Taosenos around! R.I.P. senor

My parents met Don Juanito while he worked at 7-11. Mary and Don Juanito would join our family for Christmas dinner, Don Juanito would play his sax and he and my dad would sing all night. Mr. Martinez was an icon in our community. His presence at all the sporting events will be greatly missed. I've known him since i was a little girl going to city league basketball games with my dad. If ever there was a sports "PRO", it was Mr. Martinez. My deepest sympathies and condolences to his family. You will all be in my thoughts & prayers. I looked up to this man he was a good friend of my daddy's. He was a gentle soul and will be missed greatly. My condolences to the family. Mr. Martinez would give me his hand everyday that he came to Ancianos and tell me "Que hoy era dia de San Adonario." I had alot of respect for my dad and all his friends. I remember and always will!!! he as a godly man. i stayed in his house when his daughter becky graduated from bible school. i remember i played the piano while he played the sax!!!
