Juan Jose Moya

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juan Jose Moya, 93, on December 7, 2023. He was a resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was born on February 19, 1930, to the late Luis and Esquilpula Moya in Canada De Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Luciano Moya, Ramos Moya, Felipe Moya, Pablo Moya, Tony Blea, and his sister Rita Moya, and niece Diana L Moya and nephew Marcelino Moya.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews. Theresita Bachicha (George), Luciano Moya Jr. (Veronica), Alonzo Moya, Frances Moya, and 45 great-nieces and nephews, and 20 great-great nieces and nephews; his brothers Juan Moya and Antonio Blea, and numerous relatives and friends.

Juan lived a full and happy life. He loved his horses, singing, playing his guitar, and being around his family and friends. Juan enjoyed many different jobs, sheep herding in Santa Fe, building Adobe, picking up trash, going to the mountains to get wood, and picking Piñon. Juan treasured his time with all his nephews and nieces of four generations.

Services for Juan Jose Moya will be held at Cristo Rey Catholic Church on December 28, 2023, viewing 8:30, rosary at 9:30, mass at 10:00.
Pallbearers will be as follows Lawrence Martinez Jr., Sharon Martinez, Isiah Sena, Brandon Gurule, Carlos Castaneda, and Chris Blea. Honorary Pallbearer Amber Martinez and KelliJo Jacobson.
