Juanita P. Rael

Juanita Pino Rael, 93, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2016. She was born December 1, 1923 in Las Cieneguitas (Santa Fe). Juanita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother and foster parent. Juanita retired from the State of NM as a Bookbinder. She enjoyed traveling the world, gardening, was an animal lover, dancer, singer, and an exceptional yodeler. Wherever she went, she kept any room alive with her vivacious sense of humor. Juanita was active with the VFW Post 2951 Ladies Auxiliary and served as the President for many years.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband Florentino Rael, her parents Felix and Vivianita Pino, sister Fidela Pino Lopez, brother Nicolas Pino and his wife Jesusita.

Juanita leaves many lasting memories with her children: Anna Jane DeLay (Charles), Celina Garcia (Joe), Chris Rael (Janet), Carol Rael (Anthony), Javier Rael (Isela), 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and countless relatives and friends.

Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 AM on Wednesday June 22, 2016 at St. Anne's Parish followed by Mass of Christian burial at 8:30 AM. Interment will take place at 9:45 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
