Our Dear Lucie Amelia Aguilar-Martinez, 90 of Taos has passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord in Heaven on November 26, 2022. Lucie was born in 1932 in Taos. She is preceded by her parents, Manuel and Roberta Aguilar of La Loma in Taos; infant brother, Orlando, brothers, Theodore “Ted” (Lorraine), Manuel (Isabel), and Leroy Aguilar and beloved sister, Emma Lucero (Abad). She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Joe B “JB” Martinez, Jr. daughter, Joanna M Martinez Romero-Valerio son, Michael Patrick Martinez, four grandchildren, Joseph R. Martinez, Rebecca E. Romero-Huber (Ari), Tomas “TJ” Valerio (Katherine) and Daniel Valerio, four dear great grandchildren, Audrey and Hunter Romero-Huber and Guillaume and Merriott Kilgore-Valerio and last remaining sister Lillian Aguilar Archuleta of Taos. We will always remember Lucie as a loving and caring and strong Taosena. We love you forever.
Rosary will be recited on Monday, December 05, 2022 at 6 PM at Rivera Chapel. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, December 06, 2022 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Taos.
