Lucy J. Santistevan Himes

Lucy J. Santistevan Himes passed away on Sunday July 15, 2012 after a lengthly illness surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Josepha Santistevan, son, Pedro E. Gutierrez, granddaughter, Kristina Gutierrez, brothers, Tommy (Bataan March Survivor), Lawrence and George Santistevan and aunt Pricilla Mudd. She is survived by husband John W. Himes, sons, Anthony Gutierrez (Oclides), Roberto Gutierrez (Patsy Troutner), and John William Himes (partner Rose Vigil, grandchildren, Pete Jr, Kristy Gutierrez, Nichol Sanabria (Eddie), Michael Gutierrez and John Ryan Himes, great grandchildren, Emily, Marissa, and Sara Sanabria, Monica Gutierrez, brother, Jimmy Santistevan (Maide) and many other relatives and friends.

Rosary was recited on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. Funeral mass was held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos with interment following at the Sierra Vista Cemetery.
