Madalena Martinez, 89, of Ranchos de Taos, NM passed away peacefully on December 6, 2020. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Juan Pablo Martinez and daughter, Christine Vargas. son in laws, Robert Benavidez and David Vigil, grandson, JP Vuiller and great grandsons, Angelo Benavidez, Airk, Aiden, Angelo, and Joshua Vigil, parents, Rumaldita and Alfonso Valerio, brothers and sister in laws, Joe (Margaret), Max (Lila), and Edwardo Valerio, sisters and brother in law, Pablita and Juanita Valerio, Elva (Nefi) Garcia. She is survived by her children, Charlene Benavidez, Catherine Vigil, Lawrence Martinez, Joe Martinez, Carmela Martinez (Ben), and Adrian Martinez (Pacifica), son in law, George Vargas, and sister in law, Tillie Martinez. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter on the way, special nieces Tina Martinez, Tonie Trujillo, and Lori Garcia, special nephew, Joseph Martinez, and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Funeral mass will be held at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church Friday December 11,202 at 10AM. For those who wish to attend virtually please visit www.sfranchos.org, Interment will follow at the San Francisco Cemetery.

My Granny, words cannot express how much I miss you! You and Pomps were always there for me after school, after work, or weekend visits. I am going to miss your huge smile as I/we walked in the door, the way you played with our girls, and feeling so much love in your hugs.
