Biography


Maggie B Gutierrez, 88, of Ranchos de Taos, passed away on June 5th, 2022, of natural causes surrounded by her family.


Maggie was born on August 24, 1933 in Llano Quemado.


 Maggie met husband Ernesto Gutierrez in Taos NM. Together they started a family in Taos, NM for several years of their marriage eventually moving to Nevada, then returning to Taos, NM. Together the have 3 children.


Maggie retired and spent her time with her grandchildren, many visit to the casino and crocheting blankets for most of her family. A second mom to many, and a friend to all. Even while doing the things, she enjoyed, she always thought of her family. She was a very devoted and caring wife and mother. She loved her family.  She was a very honorable and kind person and will be remembered as a loving and caring woman who always made family and friends feel welcome in her home.


She is survived by her 3 children Dave Gutierrez (Charlene), Berlinda Garcia, and Jack Gutierrez (Jennifer). She also leaves behind grand children: Pat Garcia (Nicole), Brock Gutierrez (Marlene), Tammy Hamilton (Rosco), Jeremy Gutierrez (Samantha), Jeanelle Lucero (Andrew), and 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.


A rosary will be recited on Tuesday July 5th, 2022 at St Francisco de Assisi Catholic Church at 9:00 AM with a memorial mass to follow at 10:00 AM.
