Mercy L. Torres, 75 of Talpa passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2023. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked and retired from Wal-Mart where she worked in Taos and Belen locations. She was a devoted military wife. She is preceded in death by parents, Tito and Mercedes Silva, many siblings, father and mother in law, Anselmo and Cecilia Torres and granddaughter, Amanda Torres. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Del Torres, son, Manuel (Micheleigh), grandchildren, Tanya Tylutki (+Danny), Julie Fernandez (Adrian), Mariah Voight, Manuel Torres Jr., (Jen) and Jeremy Torres (Alex), great grandchildren, Andria (Anthony), AJ, Luca, Ezra, Maya, Isaac and Zaiden, great great grandchildren, Roman and Aubrey, daughter in law and big part of the family, Terry, sisters, Darla Wilson (Leo), Yvette Mondragon (Joe), Bernice Silva (Joe Mike), Anna Silva, and Ida Silva, brother, Lester Silva (Nancy), sisters in law, Annette Torrez and Crestina “Teddie” Vaught, brother in law, Andrew Chavez and many other relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited Monday, January 08, 2024 at 6 PM at San Francisco de Asis. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 09, 2024 at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis with interment to follow at Talpa Cemetery.

It is with a sad heart that we are writing this tribute for a truly beautiful soul. We will miss her deeply. She and Del and all the family are forever in our prayers. Mercy was a good friend & even though we didn't see each other very often after she retired from Walmart, when we did run into each other she was always so happy and proud of you guys.
