Nicole Dolores Martinez (age 34) of Velarde, a loving mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend sadly passed on September 10, 2022. Nicole was born on October 24, 1987. The family deeply mourns the loss of their loved one. She will be greatly missed.
Nicole is preceded in death by her aunt Allison Martinez. She is survived by her life partner Michael Lujan; son Isaiah Lujan; and daughter Serenity Lujan; mother Lydia Sanders; brother Lucas Sanders and nephew Mason Sanders; sister Samantha Chacon and nephew Anthony Ortega; grandparents Arthur and Dolores Martinez; uncle Joseph Martinez (Geraldine); uncle Leon Martinez (Ellena); uncle Richard Martinez and life partner (Debbie Pena); and many cousins, extended relatives, and friends.
Paternal side as follows; preceded in death by her father Margarito Velasquez and aunt Esther Velasquez Padilla. Nicole is survived by her grandmother Molly Velasquez and life partner (Charlie); grandfather Leonard Velasquez; sister Danielle Velasquez and fiancé (J.C.); niece Allena and nephew John LaFon; brother Anthony Velasquez; aunt Victoria Velasquez; and cousins Desiree and Josiah Gonzales, Briana Padilla and life partner (Manuel), Joshua Padilla (Raven) and their children Nathaniel, Santiago, Jasmine and Alexis.
The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Rivera Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, NM. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to family and friends for their prayers, support, and donations during this difficult time of loss. Thank you!
