Otelia (Tillie) Vigil, 83, of Taos passed away on November 04, 2021. Otelia retired from Taos Municipal Schools Hot Lunch Supervisor. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose (Olmedo) Mondragon, Hipalita Mondragon, brothers, Ernesto, Steve and Arturo, sisters, Lily Peck, Margaret Blea and son, Frank Vigil. She is survived by her husband Reggie Vigil, children, Barbara Coca (Dennis), Joseph (Tito) Vigil, Darlene Salazar (Tim) and David Vigil (Gina), grandchildren, Victoria Coca-Rivera (Shawn), James Coca, Gabe Vigil (Carmen), Brian Salazar (Marleny), Monica Salazar (Brandon), Marcos Vigil, Mikayla Vigil, Mandy Martinez (Jude), great grandchildren, Sierra Coca, Jacob Salazar, Neimieh, Gabriella Vigil, Francesca, Malakhai and Gideon Martinez, brothers, Candido Olmedo Mondragon (Addie) and Anthony Mondragon (Loretta) many nieces and nephews. Special heartfelt thanks to Robyn Vernon-Chavez and Julie Clinton from Anvoi Hospice Care.
Rosary will be recited on December 3, 2021 at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos, NM with funeral mass to follow at 10:00 am Interment to follow at the Angel Fire State Veteran Cemetery in Angel Fire, NM. My condolences to Reggie, Barbara, Darlene, Joseph David and all the Vigil Family. Otelia was such a kind and humble lady. I never forget how good she was when she worked in the lunchroom. She was so generous and so kind. If it was that extra piece of bread an extra carton of milk or an extra serving of enchiladas, she always made sure I didn't leave hungry. She was so good to her students. You will always be a good memory in our lives. RIP Otelia ❤
