Patricia Byford

PATRICIA R. (PATT) BYFORD, 75, went to be with her Lord on June 6, 2008.
She was born November 6, 1932 in Claremore, OK, the daughter of Roy and Aleta Rimer. Patricia graduated high school in Stroud, OK, where she was active in the cheerleading squad. She married Harold Byford on January 9, 1949 in Stroud, OK, where they lived for a few years. They moved to New Mexico in April of 1960, where Harold joined the New Mexico State Police. They lived in Hobbs, Hatch, Las Cruces, Santa Fe, and Alamogordo. They settled in Santa Fe in August of 1993. Patt worked several jobs in New Mexico and her last position was with Alamogordo Savings and Loan.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harold L. Byford, three sons; Harold Byford Jr. and wife Maria of El Paso, William Byford and wife Yolanda of Las Cruces, and Raye Byford and wife Linda of Santa Fe, daughter Patti Giebel and husband Greg of Laguna Niguel, CA, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother, James Rimer and wife Carolyn of Catoosa, OK, sister Ila Liner and husband Jim of Disney, OK, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2008, from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel. A Funeral Service will be conducted Monday June 9, 2008 at 11:00 am at Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel. Burial will take place Tuesday June 10, 2008 at 11:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Las Cruces, NM.
