Patrick R. Keith

Patrick R. Keith

Biography

Patrick Ryan Keith born March 25, 1949, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2011. He was originally from Hammond, Indiana, and more recently of Espanola, New Mexico. He worked as a heavy equipment motor repairman in the Chicago steel mills and later as a medical equipment installer and technician when he moved to Denver, and later to Trinidad, CO. His passion for life was underscored by his faith in the Lord Jesus. As a result of his faith and his love of music, he pursued many opportunities to serve as a Bible study and Sunday School teacher, to sing in church choirs and be part of praise worship teams at different churches he attended. His most treasured experience was serving as Pastor at one of the baptist churches in Trinidad, CO., which then provided the honor of officiating at his niece, Erin Keth's wedding. Patrick was an Air Force Veteran, serving as an air traffic controller. An avid home remodeler, his work endures as a testament to his meticulous attention to detail. Patrick is survived by his wife; Hazel Rosalie Keith, his children; Rachel Fauts-Hyatt of Colorado, Michael Gabriel Zuehlke and wife Megan of North Carolina, Rhett Patrick Zuehkle of Denver, and Stephanie Antony and husband Travis of Denver; his brothers, Mike Zuehlke and wife Linda of Denver, Dan Keith, William Keith and wife Lori of Indiana; his grandchildren, Sydney Grace, Macey Joy, Elley Hope, Garrett, Hayden and Norah Jane. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Zuehlke and Margaret Juanita Keith and his grandson, Harrison. Patrick will be remembered for his outrageous sense of humor, his gardens and his delight in God's creation. He enjoyed the Colorado mountains and the ever changing scenery of the Colorado landscape. Patrick loved his family and will be remembered for his concern and prayers for them.
Patrick lived with this promise as his life support and hope:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future". Jeremiah 29:11

Memorial service was held September 3, 2011, at Del Norte Baptist church located on Montgomery & San Pedro in Albuquerque.

Goodbye Shugie, I'm missing you, but I know you are having a wonderful time where you are. Because you loved all the clouds and sunsets, I'm sure you and Mr. Uly are having fun piling up those marvelous marshmallow confections into all the clouds I have been seeing lately, and then painting them in all the colors of the rainbow. I'm glad you are waiting there for me, see you when I get there. love your little Hopalina -- Hazel

In Memory of Pat -

We didn't know Pat really well, but he left quite an impression on us. At our wedding, he made it clear that without God as the cornerstone in our marriage, or any marriage, that it just wouldn't hold up without Him . . that we desperately needed a relationship with God. At the same time he was preaching to us, Pat had an amazing comical outlook on life, which we are really going to miss.

After our marriage, we'd run into Pat from time to time, and he always asked how we were doing and was very encouraging as we were both stepping out into our new businesses, Josh as a roofing contractor, and me with my massages. He told Josh once that he was going to be the best roofer in town, and said, "Before long your business will be booming", and it wasn't long before that actually happened.

He told me one time that he wanted Rosalie to get a massage from me, cause he said that he had put her through so much with his acting like a child and he wanted her to feel special! So Rosalie, I still want to bless you with a free massage one of these days! Call me - - my number is 719-846-7540.

Other than that, we will never forget his unforgetable mullet and his love for old cars.

We are so thankful that he is in Heaven, now in complete health . . and I'm sure he's having a wonderful time in that great reunion. We will see you soon Pat - - just not yet!

All our love,
Josh, Erin
Aden & Leah

We were so sorry to hear of Pat's passing, but also glad he's no longer suffering from pain. He's having the time of his life and we will see him again!

I think back on Erin's wedding how he enjoyed that. It was quite the message for anyone who didn't know the Lord!

We pray God's peace and strength over you Rosalie in the days ahead! Luv you!

Dearest Patrick,

I vividly remember watching a darling little boy running up the sidewalk to his Gramma Keith, who was waiting with open arms, anxious to hug this curly headed blond boy.

Now I envision that same little boy running up the street of gold into the open arms of his Heavenly Father. Good job, Pat!

Your loving Aunt Bev

First Denver Friends Church members were blessed by Keith and Rosalee's time with us in worship. Each of them were truly used of God as they worshipped with us.
My prayers are with Keith's family at this time, because I know he will be truly missed, However I know the angels in Heaven are singing a greeting welcoming Home chorus for him.

Patrick
will be truly missed. I enjoyed the times we all spent together enjoying his playful and gentile attitude. He was very knowledgeable and yet very humble, a very loving, gentle and caring husband to my special niece. I love him even more for that. I will miss you Patrick, but you are now home and how blessed you are to be in the arms or our Precious Lord and Savior. Your suffering has ended...Praise God. I love you Patrick
