Peggy Alice Williams was called to Heaven June 6th, 2023 at the age of 76.
A New Mexican native; born February 12th, 1947 in Taos to Paul and Louise Iko. She had two brothers, William and Robert, and one sister, Laurie.
As a child she flourished in the Taos beauty and arts. She excelled in school and in her twenties took employment with the United Nations as a medical records administrator. This opportunity afforded her not only the ability to help people and further her education, but also to live a life of adventure; visiting many beautiful places across all seven countries of Central America.
Peggy was a free spirit with an intelligent mind, infectious laugh, and desire to serve. She met her husband, Frederick, at a church dance and they married a short 3 weeks later on February 19th, 1977. Together, they spent the next 41 years building a family and making memories.
In 1988, she came home to New Mexico, settling in Los Alamos where she continued to be a part of the medical community. Peggy was an accomplished pianist/organist and she would often accompany the church choir on Sundays. She enjoyed creating, be it cross-stitch, sewing, cooking, gardening, or puzzles; her hands always busy or holding a book. She even built model doll houses complete with functioning electricity. She loved the outdoors, and was an animal lover through and through.
A very strong woman, Peggy faced challenges head on with a positive attitude and a joke here and there. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at the Los Alamos LDS church, Friday, June 16th, at 5pm.Please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society.
Please enjoy photos the family has shared and feel welcome to leave messages and stories about her life.

I never met her personally, but she must have been quite a lady. I am proud to count her daughter Alyssa as a family member. She is the sweetest soul, so her mom raised her well. To Alyssa and family, she is at peace now. Take comfort in that.

I was Peggy's Visiting Teacher for a few years. I enjoyed our visits with her. My husband was also friends with her husband Fredrick. Now they are together in heaven. Many prayers and heartfelt condolences to the family.
