Pj the first time I saw a pic of you when I was in 5th grade it was you and Josh Garcia and I was thinking dang who is that guy with Josh.
When I found out you wore the number 11, I was so excited because its my number too. I was glad to wear your number, after you passed I made sure no one else got it.
I just wish I was able to hang out with you more. I am glad i got to be your friend, everyone that knew you always seemed to have a better day after hanging out with you. My PJ, It has been 3 long and very sad months since you were taken from us. You left us with broken hearts and an emptiness in our lives that will never be filled. Your beautiful smile and dimples we will never see again, your cheerful hello and wonderful hugs that you would give us everytime we saw you, we will never feel again. How difficult it will be for us to ever attend a game and not see you there, throwing the winning pass, hitting those homeruns you longed for, or being the best and tallest center that the Taos Tigers ever had. Yes mi hijito, sports at Taos High will never be the same again for us, because we looked forward to seeing you there. Our consolation is that you are now in Heaven the biggest star in God's team. You and your cousin Jerome are both sharing that #11 jersey that you both so loved. How lucky can you be to have Grandpa Juan, Grandma Carolina, Cindy, Tio Ben, Tia Elena, and Tio Ronald on the sidelines watching and cheering you on. PJ was an amazing gift from God from the very begining. I loved him very much like a little brother. I looked forward to his bright smile everyday. I remember when he learned to walk, talk and even play sports. I was lucky enough to have been able to watch him grow from an infant into a wonderful young man. We had promised PJ that we would be at every home game we could to support him through HS.
Juan, PJ looked up to you and would have given anything to be there for you. Including Science Fair.
