Mrs. Phyllis Mae Phillips, age 83 of Los Alamos, NM. died peacefully on Saturday August 27, 2011 in Los Alamos, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband John Richard Phillips in 2000. She was born in Denver, CO. to the late Frederick Appleton and Hazel L. Fenske-Appleton. She was a longime resident of Los Alamos, since 1947, and was a member Beta Sigma Phi, enjoying traveling, squaredancing and helping with her dear grandchildren and great grandchildren as they were growing up, and helping at her church; The United Church of Los Alamos. She is survived by her children; Norlene Langston of Tucson, AZ., Debbie Moses of Albuquerque, NM., Marcene Phillips of Rio Rancho, NM., John Phillips, II and Diana Stokes and husband Kyle, all of Los Alamos, NM., brother Ray Appleton of WY., numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives.

A public visitation was held September 1st at The United Church of Los Alamos, and the funeral service was on September 2,2011 also at church. A committal service was followed at The Santa Fe National Cemetery.
