Priscilla Peña, 86, resident of Santa Fe, NM, passed away on December 13, 2020. She was born on July 10, 1934 in Cerrillos, New Mexico to Lugarda Saiz. (Parents, Ventura & Luciana Perea). She married Rufino Anselmo Peña on July 31, 1965.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Rufino Anselmo Peña, daughter; Jolene Peña, brothers; Estevan, Jerry, Raymond, and Lawrence Saiz, sisters; Ignacia Sandoval, and Erlinda Taylor.
She is survived by her daughters; Judith Peña, Jo Anne Peña (Steve), Jacqueline Peña, Jeanette Huffman (Thomas), sisters; Dolores Carrillo, Josie Conway, Mary Sierra, Barbara Zimmer, Estella Perea, Geraldine Perea, and Juanita Segura, brother; Ben Perea.
Serving as pallbearers; Raymond Peña, Amanda Armijo, Rafael Piña de Peña, Thomas Huffman, Eric Peña, Jon Valdez, Gabriel Jimenez, Damian Marquez, Valerie Peña, and Estevan Armijo.
Honorary pallbearer; Briella Peña.
Priscilla loved her family and everyone she encountered throughout her life. She had 11 Grandchildren: Valerie Peña, Estevan Armijo, Eric Peña, Raymond Peña, Brandie Marquez, Amanda Armijo, Nicolette Martinez, Art Marquez Jr., Rafael Piña de Peña, Raven Martinez and Gabriel Jimenez. 7 great grandchildren; Marissa Munoz, Jayleen Munoz, Damian Marquez, Joseph Lawler, Deven Peña, Angelo Romero and Briella Peña. She loved her hometown of Cerrillos, and she will be missed by all. When thinking of Priscilla, she would like for her friends and family to remember a favorite poem of hers.
I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.
All pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.
A Special Thank You to all who cared for Priscilla the last years and months of her life.
Due to Covid-19, a small celebration will be held at the Cerrillos Catholic Cemetery located at 7 Yerba Buena, Los Cerrillos, NM, 87010 on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Masks are mandatory.

I'm so sorry to hear of Priscilla's passing. She always showed me such warmth, kindness and generosity. Her cooking was second to none and I will miss going over for her red chile. She will be missed. My heart goes out to the family, I know she was a great matriarch and beloved. Wish I could be there with you, but due to COVID, I cannot fly in.
