Raphael Gallegos

RAPHAEL "RALPH" M. GALLEGOS Age 84. of Canjilon and formerly of California passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in Santa Fe. He was born in Russell, Colorado to the late Narciso and Faustina Gallegos. He and his wife Betty enjoyed returning to California to check on their family auto repair and salvage yard companies, but always looked forward to coming back to Canjilon to run the family ranch. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty Gallegos on December 9, 2006, parents and son Ronald Gallegos, daughter Gloria Gallegos, son Lawrence Gallegos, granddaughter Nanci "Bebette" Castro, two brother in law; Ernest and Danny Leal, sister in law Miquela Leal and daughter in law Sophie C. Hayes. He is survived by his children: Nancy Venegas of CA., Josie Salazar of CA., Sylvia Campas of WA., Alonzo Gallegos of Tierra Azul, Ralph Gallegos, Jr. of Espanola, Mona Lisa Urrutia and husband Reynaldo of CA., and sister in law Grace Gallegos of CA. and Edith Leal of WA., as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and other relatives. A wake service will be held on Saturday, January 20th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 21st, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, January 22nd, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada.
