Ricardo Martinez, Sr. 94 years old. of Tesuque, New Mexico died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on September 29th 2023. Ricardo was born on February 19th 1929 to Isidro Martinez and Gertruditas Baca in Santa Fe New Mexico. Beginning at a very young age, he began work in the Water Division of the Public Service Co. of NM and transferring to the Electric division, retired in 1986 having exemplified being a Wonderful hard-working father and a Loving and dedicated husband. A committed family man, he especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren spoiling each and every one of them. He met his Beloved wife, Aurora Ortega of Tesuque and they married during the Santa Fe Fiesta weekend on August 30, 1952 celebrating a life together for 71 years. Surviving him are his wife Aurora, their three children, P. Robert Lee, Dolores Eva Mae and husband Ramon, Richard Anthony, Jr. and wife Loretta; five grandchildren Dan and wife Celina, Rosalie Aurora, Christina and husband Mario, Antoinette and husband Ben and Alicia; five great grandchildren, Bianca, Mila, Ethan, Matias and Luna Sol. Survivors also include his Special brother-in-law John Isabelito Ortega and wife Sally, and brother-in-law Eduardo Ortega and Tomas Baldonado. Also surviving him is his sister Tina Otero of Santa Fe and numerous nieces and nephews. A 7:00 pm Rosary will be held at San Isidro Church in Tesuque with a public viewing beginning at 6:30pm on Thursday Oct. 5. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday 6 Oct. at 10:00 am followed by Interment at San Isidro Cemetery. Pall Bearers will be Claudio Ortega, Dan Martinez, Ramon Mata, Mario Griego, Ben Hoffacker and Jerome Martinez. Honorary Pall Bearers are his Grand Children, Great Grand Children and his many nieces and nephews.
