Rick Mondragon, 61, Of Ranchos De Taos passed away on April 26, 2020. He was an active parishioner of St. Francis de Assis Church. He is preceded in death by his grandpartnes, Elevi and Adelia (Romero) Mondragon, Rose and Beres Mondragon, uncles/aunts, Pat and Loyola Martinez, Edmundo and Ida Mondrgon, Lawrence Mondragon, sisters in laws, Christine and Rose Marie Marquez. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Daphne, two children, Hugh and Danielle (Scott) Watson, grandchildren, Lucas and Leo, parents, Manuel and Lillian Mondragon of Longmont, CO., brothers, Ronnie (Rose) and Robbie (Yvonne) and sister, Rena (Michael). He is also survived by his brothers in law, Leo (Becky), Archie, Ernie and Adonias Marquez, aunt, Cassandra Mondragon, uncle, Luis “Vicho” and Susana Garcia, cousin, Rosita (Brian), Andrew and Alicia Rael, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A private funeral was held on May 01, 2020 followed by interment at Llano Quemado Cemetery, private due to the corona virus. The family of Rick would like to thank you very much for all your phone calls, cards, money and for just being there for us, extra thank you to Ernie, Eligio, Leo, Rosita, Alicia, Susie and Luis for all you did for us in our time of need. Dear Daphne,
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Rick. He was kind,he loved music, his family was so dear to him... a hard worker and positive force for peace and his smile and bright eyes were always on his face to cheer you and the smile spread t us all. The Lord and the Angels will laugh with Rick, he will play his guitar and roll out the old Hispanic tunes and play all requests!. If he doesn’t know it, he will try to and make music out of it.... Rick made laughter and hearts happy, we will miss his presence ... God bless all the Mindragons , the St Francis Church congregations, his friends and relations at this time of mourning.... Heaven has a new star now. All the best....
