Beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle and friend Bobby Lovato of Alcalde, NM passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of 56 on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Bobby is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Juanita and Pedro Lovato, maternal grandparents, William and Rayitos Ortega, beloved mother Kate Lovato, father Juan B Lovato, niece Jeanette Rae Lovato and great nephew John Paul Martinez Jr.
Bobby survived by his brother Tomas (Pauline) Lovato, sister Jane Quintana, nieces and nephews: Krystal (Isaac) Garcia, Sonya Lovato, Savannah (Henry) Atencio, Gloria Lovato and companion Carlos, Amber (Marcos) Marquez; Cruz Quintana and companion Savannah, great-nieces and nephews: Karyssa and Jakob Garcia, Noah Atencio, Anthony, Juanito, Annalyah and Rayannna Martinez, Domian Gallegos, Jonah Marquez and Luke Quintana, as well as many cousins/relatives and friends who loved him dearly!
“Bobby” was that special person you call on, the one who answered on the first ring. He was a helping hand to anyone in need. He was the type of guy to give you a hug and kiss even if you didn't want it! He worked as a mechanic throughout his life, working alongside his brother, Tomas, on his semi-trucks. Bobby loved his family and friends and would remind them with a text each day. We will be reminded of his “It’s a Beautiful Day!” quote at the start of each day! Bobby will be incredibly missed and loved by his family and friends!
Serving as pallbearers: Tomas, Gloria and Sonya Lovato; Anthony and Juanito Martinez; Carlos and Domian Gallegos; and Jimmy Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby’s cousins, family and friends.
A private blessing will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola on Friday, January 15th, 2021, with burial to follow at 12:30 at La Villita Catholic Cemetery in Alcalde, NM

Lovato family, please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the death of Bobby. We have some fond memories as he was our childhood friend and later in life our neighbor he used to help me around the house with all kinds of jobs. May he now find rest in the loving arms of our dear lord and savior. May God bring you peace and comfort at this most difficult time.

Tony, Pauline & family. I was very surprised & sorry to hear of Bobby's passing, my deepest sympathy. I saw Bobby about a year ago & his bear hug I will always remember. He was a good man. I'm sure he's working hard for our Tata Dios. Eternal rest grant unto Bobby, O Lord, & let perpetual light shine on him. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed

My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. I am not sure if this is the same Robert Lovato folks called “BooBoo”! If so, my family and I have fond memories of this sweet man back in the 80’s when he hung out with my brother before his passing. RIP
