Rosina T. Lopez, born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, April 6, 1932, was ushered into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 7, 2024 at the age of 92 years old.
Rosina, alongside the love of her life, her husband of 70 years, Raymond Lopez raised a family that mourns the loss of their beloved. Rosina is survived by her sister Stella Valdez, sisters-in-law Linda and husband Charles Lury, Rose Lopez, Rosie Lopez, and Christine Baca, sons Robert Lopez and wife Gloria, son Richard Lopez and wife Pauline, daughters Robin (Mona Lisa) Ortiz, daughter Rosemary Lopez, as well as 18 grandchildren and their 11 spouses, 34 great grandchildren and their 5 spouses, and 4 great great grandchildren.
Though the hearts of the ones left here are experiencing immense pain, we also rejoice in knowing she has been reunited with her two children who passed on, son Rudy Lopez, and daughter Ruth Lujan and husband Alfred, two grandkids Robert Montoya and Zachery Lopez, her mother and father Lola and Max Baca, in-laws Lucino and Arabella Lopez her brothers, Gilbert Baca and Paul Baca and wife Rosina, her brothers in-law Benny Valdez, Tino Lopez and Gilbert Lopez. May they all rest in peace.
The family sends their deepest gratitude to the angels called doctors, nurses, techs, and extended staff who so selflessly dedicated their time and love to taking care of Rosina in the last chapter of her life at Meadows Long Term Care Facility.
The family would be honored to have you join them to honor Rosina, Grandma Honey, for her courage to stand firm in faith against the numerous oppositions she faced with such grace in her time here on Earth as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, and precious friend, while blessing us all so immensely with her abundance of love. Details to be released at a later time.
Pallbearers are as follows: Julio Ortiz, Eugene Ortiz, Kelvin Lopez, and Ray Ray Lopez.
In lieu of flowers the family humbly requests donations in memory of Rosina Lopez to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rosary will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 in Santa Fe, NM at St. Annes Catholic Church with Rosary at 11AM and Mass at 12PM. Iterment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 1:30PM.
The family of Rosina has entrusted the care of their loved one to Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, NM.
