Rudolph Alexander “Rudy” Yardman – March 25, 1940 – August 19, 2023
Rudy was born to Frank Sr. Yardman and Frances Lucero on March 25, 1940, in Santa Fe, NM, and passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, two half-sisters Myrtle Elliot and Barbara Satler, and two half-brothers, Frank Yardman and Freddy Yardman. Rudy is survived by his sister, half-sister Margie Duran, Mary Ann Catanach, and brother Richard “Rick” Yardman, his wife Kay Yardman, daughter, Stephanie Ortiz of Rio Rancho, two grandsons; Nathaniel and Zachary Ortiz, and two stepdaughters; Evon Prada and Karen Yardman.
Rudy attended Santa Fe High School and was a member of the marching band. He retired from the State of New Mexico Highway Department, Rite of Way Department. He loved to camp, hunt, and fly fish. He collected guns and enjoyed the outdoors. He married Janet “Kay” Yardman in Santa Fe, NM on August 21, 1995.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM., at 10:00 AM

My Uncle Rudy was a kind loving man who would offer to help family, friend, or stranger. He had a passion for learning and sharing his knowledge. He had the commendable ability of making everyone feel welcome, cared for, and special. He will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss him tremendously.
