Ruth Michener

Ruth Michener, 86, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her son and daughter by her side. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Kistler and the widow of the late John William Michener. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her caring and compassionate nature.

Survivors include her son, William Kistler Michener and wife, Barbara Kimbell and son John of Santa Fe, New Mexico; a daughter, Sue Michener Fox of Canon City, Colorado; one granddaughter, Alyssa Michener of Fairfax, Virginia; a brother, William Kistler of Toledo, Ohio; and a sister, Norma Luzio of Newark, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at the Spartanburg Unitarian Universalist Church of Spartanburg, 251 East Henry Street, on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception.
