Biography


Sadie was born to Lore and Benjamin Garcia in Los Naranjo’s. 


She was predeceased by her husband Faustin Blea, sister Celia Sanchez, brothers 


Ben & Ernest, sisters in law Jane Garcia, Beatrice Roy, Cecilia & Eloisa Leal, nieces & nephews Priscilla, Roger,  Danny,  Scottie & Sharon..


She is survived by her children Gene, Lou (Rudy) & Danny.  Grandchildren Lisa, Michael & Darel Blea, Cindy Gonzales (Robert Warnicke), Steve Gonzales (Christa Hazlett), Great grandchildren, Winter, Ian & Elise.


Survived by sisters JoAnn Gullicksen, Bea Kaundart & many nieces & nephews.


 She worked at the New Mexico School for the Deaf for over 40 years as a counselor, was a talented seamstress, painter, a wonderful cook and smart business woman.  She was an avid newspaper reader and champion Scrabble player.  She adored and was so proud of her grand and great grandchildren and loved hearing about their adventures, educational pursuits and achievements.  Rest in peace Grandma Sadie.


A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at San Isidro Catholic Church located at 3552 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87507. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at San Isidro Catholic Church with interment to follow the mass at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
