Samuel J. Martinez (Sam) age 57, a resident of Hernandez returned to his heavenly father on December 7, 2021. He was born on July 3rd, 1964 to his parents Samuel and Felis Martinez.
Sam was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, companion and friend. Sam was employed at Hacienda Home Centers for 22 yrs before retiring. He loved spending time with his loved ones, fishing, and going on long cruises with the love of his life Loriann. He was a jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. His only son Jayden was his pride and joy and was willing to do anything for him. He was very outgoing with a positive attitude, always willing to lend a helping hand. He also enjoyed spending time with his good friend Manuel Chavez. Sam will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Sam is proceeded in death by his father Samuel Martinez, paternal grandparents Aramante and Emilia Martinez, maternal grandparents Jose Luis and Veronice Martinez, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He is survived by his beloved mother Felis Martinez, adored son Jayden Martinez, (mother Cathy Herrera and daughters Eryana and Alyssa), His beloved Companion of many years Loriann Ortiz (sons Jonathan and Nathaniel), Brothers Lawrence Martinez (Velma), Brian Maestas (Jennifer), Roberto Morales, Sisters Melissa Morales (Randy), and Laverne Martinez, Honorary brother Wally Martinez, god-daughter Bernice Soto, Special nieces and nephews are Roberto Jr.(Maria), Monty (Alicia), Moises, Samuel (Billie), David (Katelynn), Isaiah Morales(Savannah), Janiesa (Damian), and Faith Maestas, and Lucas Mascarenes.
Serving as pallbearers are Roberto Jr, Monty, Moises, Samuel, David and Isaiah Morales, Damian Mascarenes and Wally Martinez.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Janiesa and Faith Maestas, Xavier and Lucas Mascarenes, Novalee, Dante, David, and Draven Morales, and Madison Martinez.
Services will be on December 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Victory Faith Church, Pastor JD Miera officiating.

Our Heart felt condolences to the Families of Sam Martinez.
I'm am lost for words and still in shock over the loss of my dear friend Sam! I had know Sam for many years, he was my neighbor many years ago at Duran Street. When I moved out I still encounter my friend at church or at the stores and we would talk. Boy I'm really sad to hear of his passing just heartbreaking. I'll never forget our conversations friend you will not be forgotten!
May you all find peace in Our Saviour during this time of sorrow, just know Sam loved the Lord and you all.
