Susan Saiz, 69, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Susie enjoyed spending her time fishing and camping with her beloved husband and family. She spent countless hours in her sewing room stitching her love into numerous wedding dresses and heartfelt creations for family and friends. Every person Susie met was touched by her genuine and loving soul. She never turned away from a good laugh, karaoke, or an opportunity to pray. She would never turn down a game of scrabble, but was quick to challenge the word you played. Susie is survived by her husband of 43 years Frank Saiz, her children Richard Ortiz (Ashley), Jennifer Vigil (Vince), David Saiz (Missy), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers David Baldonado (Karen), Jim Baldonado (Marie), Bob Baldonado (Kathy), sisters Nancy San Martin (Bobby), and Elaine Vargas (Sam), her two loving dogs Rowdy and Abby, along with numerous friends and family members.
She is joined in Heaven by her mother and father Jose and Betty Baldonado, her mother and father-in-law Delfino and Lucy Saiz, her sisters Betty Jo Wheat, MaryAnn Baca, and her granddaughter RayLynn Gonzales.
Services for Susie are as follows:
Rosary will be recited:
Monday, January 29th at 6:00 pm at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church; 820 Broadway SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102
Reception will be held:
Tuesday, January 30th at 12:00 pm at the Moose Lodge; 2121 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102

I love reading all the messages and comments on this page because they all emphasize one thing. Susie was a joy to be around. She loved large and made everyone feel special. She always made me laugh. And if you see me ask me about the time she rearranged all the photos in my home. She had a fun and happy disposition that made others smile. I will miss her but know she is making everyone in heaven laugh. I love you Susie and I will miss you ❤️

Cousin Susie was a giver. She listened and encouraged. She gave sage advice and loved with all her heart. She knew how to tell a joke or story and how to cry or comfort with tenderness. She was talented and creative in so many ways. I know these things because I experienced them all with her throughout our many years as family. I will miss our long phone visits full of laughter and tears. I have no doubt that she is in God's loving embrace and smiling on us all!

What to say about my auntie Susie! She was full of love, laughter, strength and smiles. Such a talented and thoughtful person All of these qualities will always be in my heart and my memories forever and always. I am a better person because you were and always will be my auntie!
